Classes can be arranged privately or for up to 6 students in West Stockbridge, MA or at your home in the Berkshires, MA. A list of classes in West Stockbridge will posted on this site in April. Fun, hands-on, informative, liberating. Choose a class from the list below or design your own with Chef Amy Cotler. Classes aim to empower students to cook comfortably, using simple techniques with the best seasonal and local farm-fresh food available.
The most popular class is The Locavore Way. Students learn how to cook seasonally, seek out and savor delicious locally grown, raised or produced local foods. This style of ingredient-focused cooking emphasizes improvisation and recipe adaptation, using fabulous food combinations with easy-to-follow techniques. The results are delicious. Book included.
Where? Classes can be taught anywhere, most often in cooking schools and in private homes. Cotler also teaches them a rustic 1810 country home in the Beautiful Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. There, it’s possible to combine a class with a farm tour or pick-your-own excursion.
